Willys Motors put a cab over the engine of a CJ-5 chassis in 1956 to make a compact truck with a full-length bed: the FC-150 on the 81-inch wheelbase with the 75 hp F-head Hurricane four. The FC-170 of 1957 was longer, on a 103.5-inch wheelbase with the 226 cu in Super Hurricane six from the Willys truck, and was offered as a pick-up, cab-chassis, stake truck and dual-rear-wheel heavy-duty model.
The FC sold to utilities, fire departments and farms and was built for the Army as the M676 to M679 of 1964–65 with a Cerlist three-cylinder diesel. Mahindra built it in India into the 1990s. Willys ended the American FC in 1965.
