The Willys MB and Ford GPW were the United States Army’s light vehicle of the Second World War and the M38, M38A1 and M151 followed them into the 1980s; civilian CJs worked on farms, with utilities, forest and park services, and the Wrangler and Cherokee with police departments, the Border Patrol and rescue services.
