Krupp built one four-wheel-drive family for the registry’s purposes and it is a 6×4: the Protze light artillery tractor of 1934–41, about 7,000 of them, with a sloping snout and an air-cooled boxer engine — 3.3 litres and 53 hp in the L2H43, the 60 hp M 304 in the L2H143 — in bodies from anti-tank gun tractor and twelve-seat personnel carrier to telephone truck, radio mast carrier and ten armoured Sd.Kfz. 247 command cars.
