Work on the Cross Sector Platform began in 2016: a spaceframe designed and built at Belper to carry several vehicles, with modified Range Rover Sport subframes and all-independent suspension. The Bulldog of 2017, shaped like a Defender double cab with widened arches, was its first application, with the Range Rover Sport's 3.0-litre V6 diesel or supercharged petrol and later a supercharged 5.0-litre V8.
Bowler showed a military Rapid Intervention Vehicle on the platform at DSEI in 2017, built with the Ministry of Defence, and after Jaguar Land Rover bought the company announced the CSP 575 in November 2020: the old Defender 110 station wagon's shape in aluminium over the CSP chassis, with the Range Rover Sport SVR's 575 PS V8. Only prototypes of it were built, and the last rally raid Bulldog was completed in 2023.
