The tyres are the whole design. They are 63 inches (160 cm) tall, tubeless and run at ultra-low pressure, and an on-board system inflates or deflates them in under thirty seconds using exhaust gas — so the same vehicle floats, crawls over fallen trees and climbs out of open water onto ice. Their tread is the propeller; there is nothing else driving the vehicle through water.
Everything else is kept simple: a small industrial diesel, a five-speed manual and hydraulic skid steering, with the two wheels on each side locked together. Ground clearance is 600 mm and fuel is 58 litres, with optional canister tanks inside the wheels.
