The Scorpio was Mahindra’s first vehicle built for the world market rather than adapted from the Willys, and it changed the company: exported and assembled across Africa, Latin America and South Asia and sold in numbers at home.
In India it is the government four-wheel drive — police, paramilitary, forest and revenue departments — and the Scorpio-N of 2022 continues it alongside the Scorpio Classic.
