The Pick-Up was the commercial branch of the Dacia 1300 family, built from 1975 — the 1302, then the 1304 single cab of 1982, the drop side of 1983 and the 1307 double cab of 1992 — with rear-wheel drive through a propeller shaft to a leaf-sprung axle.

Four-wheel-drive versions with a plug-in front axle were presented at the Bucharest motor show in 1998 and built from 1999, and Renault's 1.9-litre diesel of 63 hp was offered from 2001. Production of all Pick-Ups ended on 8 December 2006 after 318,969; the four-wheel-drive share is not published.
