German truck makers were directed to concentrate on simplified standard trucks of about three tonnes payload; the B 3000 was Borgward's, on either a 3.7-litre petrol six of 78 hp or a 5-litre diesel of 75. The B 3000 S carried 3,125 kg.
The Bremen-Sebaldsbrück works were destroyed by Allied bombing in 1944, and the British occupation stopped a restart in 1945. Production ran again from July 1948 to 1950, the B 3000 D carrying 3,400 kg.
