The 10 Series gave ARO a light vehicle to sell beside the 24, and gave Dacia parts a second life. Seven engines were offered over twenty-six years, from 1.2 to 2.0 litres: petrol fours from Dacia, Volkswagen and Daewoo, from 54 hp to 105 hp, and diesels from Volkswagen, Peugeot and Renault.
Britain took the four-wheel-drive version as the Dacia Duster, Italy as the Super Ischia and the Enduro x4. The open Spartana followed in 1997 and the 10 Super of 1999 moved the body onto the 24 Series chassis — the last new ARO before the works closed in 2003. Only the four-wheel-drive versions are in the registry.
