The VAB replaced nothing so much as the need to walk: two crew and ten men, amphibious, and exported to more than forty countries by 2019. The VBL replaced the Hotchkiss M201, and France took 1,380 of the 2,600 built.
ACMAT exported over 85 per cent of its 12,000-plus vehicles to more than fifty countries, and they serve in 42 nations including France and Ireland; the ALTV was in Afghanistan from 2008 to 2019.
