History
Ulyanovsk’s four-wheel drives went first to the Soviet Army — the GAZ-69 from 1954, the 450 and 452 ambulances and vans from 1958, the portal-axle 469 of 1971 that equipped the Warsaw Pact and more than 80 armies — and to the rural services of the Soviet Union: the Tabletka ambulance, the farm truck, the works minibus, the forestry and militia 469B. The Hunter, Bukhanka and Patriot serve the Russian forces, police, hospitals and hunters today.
