History
The P4 was the French Army’s light vehicle for nearly forty years, and the Dangel Peugeots have worked French public service and African roads since 1980 — the 504 pick-up and break, the 505 break and the Partner, Expert and Boxer vans.

The P4 with the French forces from 1981: 13,500 ordered for the Army, the Gendarmerie and the air force, assembled at Sochaux and then by Panhard, with the armoured P4P and the air-portable VPS for special forces, refurbished in the 2000s and replaced by the VT4 from 2018.
Dangel Peugeots at work: 504 pick-ups and breaks with African aid agencies, mission stations and overland travellers from 1980, 505 breaks with EDF, the forestry and water services, the mountain gendarmerie and rural doctors, and the Partner, Expert and Boxer vans of mountain rescue, ski resorts, utilities and fire brigades since the 1990s.
