The VCT (véhicule de commandement et de transmissions) is the version the public knows: French presidents and generals have reviewed the Bastille Day parade from it on the Champs-Élysées. In 1982 it weighed 3,850 kg empty, carried 2,500 kg and had an 800 km range; a version with white leather and metallic paint was also built.
