History
UMMs served the Portuguese Army and GNR from 1978, the Dutch Army from 1986, the Angolan Army from 1990 and the French Gendarmerie in Heuliez-built form, and went abroad with Portuguese peacekeepers to Mozambique in 1993. Fire brigades and utilities in Portugal and France used them, and UMM teams ran the Paris–Dakar from 1982. The French originals are under Cournil.
