History
AM General’s Humvee has been the American army’s light vehicle since 1985 — the Gulf War, Somalia, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan — and serves some sixty allied armies; the company also built the Army’s M939 five-ton trucks in 1982–87 and builds the JLTV A2 today.
