Citroën

The French maker founded by André Citroën in 1919 at the Quai de Javel in Paris, which built Adolphe Kégresse’s half-tracks from 1921 to 1937 (5,795 of them), the twin-engined 2CV Sahara (694, 1960–67), the Méhari 4x4 (1,213, 1979–83) and the Type 46 FOM lorry, and ran the ZX Rallye Raid through Citroën Sport.

History

The half-tracks were built by a department at Suresnes and a workshop at Courbevoie; Unic took over the P107 in 1937. The 2CV Sahara was assembled at the former Panhard works on the avenue d’Ivry in Paris. Dangel of Sentheim has converted Citroën light commercials to four-wheel drive since the C15 of 1991.
