Dangel’s four-wheel-drive C15 D van, launched in 1991: a part-time system with a power take-off on the gearbox, a propeller shaft and a suspended rear axle engaged by an electro-pneumatic dog clutch, adding 80 kg to the van (1,025 kg against 945 kg). The spare-wheel cradle was removed.

Options were an electro-pneumatic rear differential lock and a gearbox with shorter top three ratios and a 5.083 final drive in place of 4.188. It was bought mainly by administrations and utilities — EDF and the Post — and the army; in 1997 a C15 D First 600 converted by Dangel cost 107,437 francs against 76,340 for the standard van.
