It won its first event, the Baja Aragón of 20–21 July 1990, with Ari Vatanen and Jacky Ickx first and second. It won the Paris–Tripoli–Dakar of 1991 with Vatanen and Bruno Berglund and then, with Pierre Lartigue and Michel Périn, the Dakars of 1994, 1995 and 1996, and five consecutive FIA Cross-Country Rally World Cups from 1993 to 1997 — 36 wins from 42 starts since 1990.
