A 1,340 kg car with 40 hp, permanent four-wheel drive from 1971 and enormous ground clearance is not a fast vehicle, but it reaches places. That was the whole point in a country where most roads outside towns were mud for part of the year.
LuAZ built 100,000 of them by 1982. The six-wheeled Geolog, on the TPK chassis, did survey work.
