Humber built the only British four-wheel-drive car of the war and one of its most numerous armoured cars, and then, twenty years later, the vehicle that more than any other came to stand for the British Army in Northern Ireland.
The Armoured Car outlived the war by a long way: Portuguese examples were in action at Goa in 1961. The Pig outlived its own design generation by longer still, rearmoured in the 1970s and running until the early 1990s.
