The first Mitsubishi four-wheel drives went to the Japanese police and forestry service in 1952 and the pattern held: the marque’s vehicles are bought to work. The Pajero added comfort without losing the low range, which made it a towing and farm vehicle in Britain and Australia and a desert vehicle in the Gulf.
The L200 and the Pajero Sport are the working line today — Thai-built, sold everywhere, and the vehicles aid agencies and utilities buy when they do not buy a Hilux.
