Armour for other people's vehicles

Most of what Plasan makes goes onto vehicles built by somebody else. The company says it has designed over 420 armoured vehicles and delivered more than 40,000 armour solutions, and at peak was producing over 1,000 kitted hulls a month, 250 M-ATV kits a month from its American plant alone.

It employs about 650 people at Kibbutz Sasa, which bought the thermoplastic technology the company is named for in 1985 and turned from agriculture to manufacturing, and then from plastic containers to ballistic protection.
