The five-cylinder engine of Gardner's LW diesel range for road vehicles, 6,975 cc and 85 hp at 1,700 rpm. The Guy Lizard's sources name only a Gardner five-cylinder diesel; the 5LW was Gardner's five-cylinder road engine of the time.
