The record

Headquarters 1st Armoured Division had gone to France in May and June 1940 in mild-steel prototypes and wooden mock-ups. Guy's armoured Lizards followed later that year; by early 1941 some were with Headquarters 7th Armoured Division in North Africa and others with formations in the United Kingdom. Guy could not continue production, and the AEC armoured command vehicle on the Matador chassis replaced it.
