A self-propelled anti-aircraft gun: a twin 23 mm ZU-23-2 (GA-6 in SANDF service) on the rear deck of a SAMIL 100 Kwêvoël, with outriggers for firing. 36 were built from the end of 1991.
The SADF captured many ZU-23-2 guns in Angola, and in early 1990 Armscor asked for proposals to mount one on a mine-resistant vehicle, as much for the ground role as for air defence. Nick Conradi of Megkon designed the conversion; the prototype was finished in April 1991 and passed its running-gear trials at Gerotek, Pretoria, by June, and production followed at the end of the year. The Bosvark, Afrikaans for bushpig, replaced the Ystervark and serves with 10 Anti-Aircraft Regiment at Kimberley.
