The record

The A2 rear suspension cured the worst of the M151’s cornering behaviour; the Army still fitted roll-over protection kits in the 1980s and withheld the trucks from public sale. AM General built the last in 1982 and the HMMWV replaced them from 1985, while allied armies from Israel to the Philippines ran M151A2s into the 2000s.
