The record

Toyota do Brasil moved the Bandeirante to the 40 body in 1968 and kept it, with Mercedes-Benz diesels (the OM-364 from 1989), square headlamps from 1994 and a pick-up, chassis-cab and Troop Carrier range, until November 2001 — seventeen years after Japan stopped the 40. About 100,000 were built.
