Toyota Australia sold the long-wheelbase hard top as the Troop Carrier from the late 1960s and the name became a Toyota term for the 45 and later the 75 and 78. The HJ47 of 1980–84 carried the 4.0-litre 2H diesel six; stations, mines, the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Aboriginal communities ran it.
