The Pinzgauer replaced Land Rovers in the Royal Artillery’s Light Gun batteries and the Royal Marines’ Commando units for its cross-country capability; the armoured Vector of 2007 failed in Helmand and the fleet was retired as the Ranger-based Jackal and Foxhound arrived.
