The record
The FJ45 pick-up and its cab-chassis were introduced in 1963, the four-door FJ45V wagon in 1967 (replaced by the 55 Series wagon), and the long 'troop carrier' hard top in the 1970s. Australian assembly by Australian Motor Industries and the diesel HJ45 (3.6-litre H six, later the 4.0-litre 2H) made the long 40 the standard of the outback fleet. The 70 Series 75 and 78 took over the bodies in 1984.
