The record

The W-series gave Dodge a modern four-wheel-drive pick-up alongside the old Power Wagon; the 1972 trucks lasted twenty-one years, took the Ram name in 1981 and, with the Cummins of 1989, found the market that saved the line before the 1994 redesign. The W prefix meant four-wheel drive, the D two-wheel.
