The Korean War Dodge: the M37 ¾-ton 4x4 of 1951, the WC’s successor with a 230 six of 78 hp, about 115,000 built to 1968 including 47,600 of the improved M37B1 from 1958 and about 4,500 Canadian M37CDN in 1951–55, with the M42 command, M43 ambulance and M201 telephone-maintenance bodies.

The M37 served the US Army and Marines in Korea and Vietnam and the Canadian forces, and was replaced by the Kaiser Jeep M715 of 1967–69 and the Dodge M880 of 1976; surplus M37s are a staple of the American military-vehicle hobby.
