History

Dodge Brothers built trucks from 1917 and Chrysler’s Dodge division supplied the US Army’s ¾-ton trucks through the Second World War, Korea and Vietnam; the Power Wagon of 1946 was the first civilian four-wheel-drive truck from a major maker, the Cummins diesel of 1989 made the line a towing brand, and Ram became a marque of its own under Chrysler (now Stellantis) in 2010.
