Dodge’s Blazer: the Ramcharger of 1974 on a shortened W-series chassis, four-wheel drive only at first, with a dealer-fitted fabric or removable steel top to 1980 and a fixed roof after 1981, the 225 six and the 318, 360, 400 and 440 V8s; the Plymouth Trail Duster was its twin in 1974–81, and Mexican production ran to 1996.

The Ramcharger arrived late against the Blazer and Bronco and sold modestly — about 30,000 across its generations — ending in North America in 1993 when Dodge put its money into the new Ram pick-up; Chrysler de Mexico built it into the 1990s and revived the name briefly in 1999–2001.
