Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 4x4 (1994–)

The modern Ram four-wheel drives: the 1994 second generation that made Dodge a serious truck maker, the 2002 third generation with independent front suspension on the 1500 and live axles on the heavy duties, and the DS/DT generations since, with the Hemi V8s and the Cummins 6.7; the Power Wagon of 2005, the Rebel of 2015 and the 702 hp TRX of 2021–24 are its off-road versions. Ram became its own marque in 2010.

The record

Dodge’s 1994 Ram, with its big-rig nose and the Cummins diesel, took the brand from a distant third to a contender; the four-wheel-drive versions carry the Power Wagon name on the 2500 and the Rebel and TRX on the 1500. Chrysler split Ram from Dodge as a separate marque in 2010, so the trucks after that date are Rams.
