History

Daimler was part of BSA and was bought by Jaguar in 1960. Its armoured vehicles were built on the same engineering ideas throughout: a fluid flywheel and preselector gearbox, independent coil suspension, and the H-form drive that kept the hull low and, on the first Dingos, steered all four wheels.
