AMC put the Wagoneer name on the four-door XJ for 1984, with a distinct grille, wood-grain vinyl sides on the Limited, leather, power accessories and Selec-Trac; the SJ became the Grand Wagoneer. The XJ Wagoneer was dropped after 1990.
