Chevrolet’s first factory four-wheel-drive pick-ups: the K10 half-ton and K20 three-quarter-ton of the 1960 C/K series (K = four-wheel drive), replacing the NAPCO Powr-Pak conversions of 1955–59, with a ladder frame, leaf-sprung solid axles, the 235 and 292 sixes and the 283 and 327 V8s, through the 1967–72 “Action Line” redesign.

The record

NAPCO of Minneapolis converted Chevrolet trucks to four-wheel drive from 1955 and Chevrolet sold the conversion through its dealers until 1959; the 1960 C/K series made four-wheel drive a factory build with the K prefix and Chevrolet’s own transfer case and Dana front axle. The K-series took the 1967 body and the 1971 front disc brakes and was the base of the 1969 K5 Blazer.
