The record

The VA D50 of 1934 was a Vickers-Armstrongs commercial venture; the War Office bought two in 1935, one became the Carrier, Machine-Gun Experimental (Armoured), and the fourteen No. 1s followed. Mild steel made them training vehicles rather than armoured ones.
