History

Suzuki bought the HopeStar ON360 design in 1968 after Hope Motor Company failed and made it the LJ10; the SJ of 1981 went worldwide and was licensed to Santana in Spain and Maruti in India, and the Jimny has kept live axles and a low range ever since.
