History

Vladimir Shkolnik bought an all-terrain vehicle designed by Alexei Garagashyan of Saint Petersburg, saw a business in it and founded SHERP. A Russian company, Sherp LLC, was set up at Saint Petersburg in 2014 and built the vehicles under licence until the Ukrainian company terminated the agreement in March 2022. SHERP announced a co-branding partnership with ARGO of Canada in 2023.
