History

Reynolds Boughton built specialised chassis rather than complete vehicle ranges. The RB44 used the chassis and cab of the Dodge 50 Series and was bought by the Ministry of Defence in 1988 to replace the Land Rover 101 Forward Control; the braking fault that followed cost the company £250,000 in rectification and the Ministry far more.
