History

Ford Australia built cars and trucks at Geelong and Broadmeadows from 1925; its 1981–87 Bronco used the Falcon six and the Australian Cleveland V8, and under the Button Plan it sold the Nissan Patrol as the Maverick. Its Broadmeadows product-development centre designed the T6 Ranger of 2011, the 2015 Everest, the 2019 Ranger Raptor and the 2022 generation for Ford worldwide; local manufacturing ended in 2016 but the design and engineering centre continues.
