History

The Czechoslovak army bought three Carden-Loyds and a production licence in 1930. ČKD built four copies as prototypes that year, reworked them through trials in 1931–32, and received an order for 70 on 19 April 1933; the type was accepted on 17 October 1933 with a Praga engine of 30 hp.
