The fifth and sixth-generation F-250 4x4 kept the divorced transfer case of the 1959 design, which raised the frame and gave the truck its stance and nickname; from mid-1977 the married transfer case lowered it (the Lowboy). Highboys are the most collected Ford heavy pick-ups.
