Announced on 3 January 2013 and distributed in Europe by Ransomes Jacobsen, the 1600XD-R was homologated as a tractor so that it could be licensed for road use in European countries. It keeps the 22 hp, 1,007 cc liquid-cooled three-cylinder OHV diesel and user-selectable four-wheel drive, with a locking rear differential and a limited-slip device in the front axle. The quoted maximum vehicle load is 726 kg, with 500 kg in the bed and 590 kg towed; top speed is 40 km/h in high range and 17 km/h in low. Textron announced the delivery of the first 1600XD-R in the United Kingdom to Lichfield District Council in 2013. Production figures are not published.
