The record

The Y61 outlived its replacement’s arrival by fourteen years because nothing else suited the work: UN agencies, armies, police forces, mining companies and desert drivers kept buying it after the Y62 went to independent suspension. Japanese sales ended in 2007 and Australian in 2016; Gulf and African production continued.
