History

Volvo built its four-wheel drives in the truck and military side of the company at Lundby: the TP21 from the TL31 truck in 1953, the Laplander from 1959 and the C300 series from 1974, all to Swedish Army orders with civilian sales alongside; the Norwegian Laplanders were assembled at Raufoss and the C202 at Csepel. Volvo’s later all-wheel-drive cars are outside the registry.
