History

Outboard Marine Corporation built Johnson and Evinrude outboards and, from 1964 to 1976, the Evinrude Skeeter and Johnson Skee-Horse snowmobiles. Cushman joined it in 1957; the Trackster of 1970–75 was developed jointly and used an OMC air-cooled two-stroke twin. OMC sold Cushman to Ransomes in 1989 and filed for bankruptcy on 22 December 2000.
