History
Founded in 1920 in Park Lane, Wolverhampton, as a car gearbox maker, Meadows added petrol engines in 1922 and in the 1930s built a large factory at Fallings Park. It supplied engines and gearboxes to many of the smaller British makers, flat-twelve engines for the Tetrarch light tank and the Covenanter, and many engines to Guy Motors. Jaguar bought the company in 1965.
